Description

The freedom of accessibility for the present path and ready to develop for the future, the INTO WEAVING designed to be a new movement in Makkasan District a place to gathering and collect the new scenery and view experience.

A design response to the lack of green area in the present decade, people call Makkasan as a lung of Bangkok it became the main concern about the importance of regenerating the green area that shouldn’t provide only for humans. The idea of creating the newly improved place to be an ecosystem and be able to become a source of learning. It is a ‘Biodiverity’ made the design provide a lot of quality green space in each area including simulated the life circle in the forest. The good space has been providing for the user to begin to create the community, working space or event.

Concept & Thainess // Weaving

Weaving machines are used by Thai people. It Has been commonly used in almost every household since ancient time so Thai people already absorb it without realizing that wicker. In addition to weaving intovarious containers, It also weaves many kinds of tools and appliances in daily life. Including also having a variety of unique patterns.

The weaving has use of the 3 dimensional grid line as a system to design three part of the building

Weaving In Schematic

We have designed the schematic by applying a pattern of three-dimensional weaving lines as a grid system.

Weaving In Linkage

All of the connections and circulation between each building are designed according to the direction of the three-dimensional weaving pattern.

Weaving in Roof character
We include the light runes above the building. The selection of void light is chosen from the pattern of weaving and the roof itself creates the detail from the pattern.

Form & Process

Step 1 Flexibility :  Triangle shaped space buildings Because it is easy for manage the space today and in the future.

Step 2 Sourround View : Created the mass to block the outside view which is unslighty.

Step 3 Level Reduction : Lower the level so the building can more interact with people walking path and the flowing of the space.

Step 4 Orientation :  Rotates the building due to the sun path location to reduce energy use.

Step 5 Distance Reduction : Arranges the building into a circle to create interaction between people.

Step 6 Dynamic : Create the movement of building and level.

Step 7 Linkage : Create the shortcut link the user to their destination.

Step 8 Integrated space : Combine green space in the building so user can interact more with the nature.

Step 9 Contrast : Organic roofs create the contrast sincerely The selection of void light is chosen from the pattern of weaving.

Programing

Roof Form

Step 1 : The 3 line of weaving are crossing each other.
It created the middle void we provide it for our middle area of the design

Step 2 : Expansion of the wave create the level of the roof slope to make a movement.

Step 3 : Connect all the path to make it solid. Adding the void light according to the system from the pattern of weaving.

Biodiversity & Green Design

The impression is that this site should not be provided only for humans. After the determination, We decide to improve this place to be an ecosystem and be able to become a source of learning. It is a place that wants to be a shelter for living creatures such as insects, birds to engage in this ecosystem.
